Mando
Whole Body Deodorant
While at Mando, a sub-brand of Lume Deodorant and owned by Harry’s Inc., I worked mostly on Meta (Facebook & Instagram) ad designs. Workflows often deployed the use of Photoshop to edit photos, stock and from shoots. Using 3D renders with Adobe Stager, placing renders into hands and scenes was a daily occurrence. The use of Figma for laying out ads and Clickup for project management. Occasionally, I received Gif and motion design projects. I helped build an animated logo for the main landing page using After Effects and GifGun plugins. One challenging aspect was an ever evolving brand and style guide being that Mando is a relatively new brand on the men’s hygiene scene, performance and shelf data often pushed the designs on way or another.
Spray Deodorant Launch
One of the most important projects at Mando, outside the Target and Walmart shelf launch, was the spray deodorant launch. One issue that came up was that the company only had prototype cans for our photographer to shoot. I had to solve this problem by photoshopping hundreds of 3D models we made in Adobe Stager into images, often changing colors, lighting, and angles. I became an expert at setting scenes with 3D models in Stager! Another huge problem that came up was working with the web developer to intergrate and create an animated logo introducing the spray launch in the website header navigation. I worked tireliessly with the developer through an entire night to make sure the launch was ready for going live…Lot’s of slack and zooms into the early morning hours!
